Last week, I visited the southern border in Nogales with a group of colleagues. Since FY24, just a single gap in the border wall has seen over 41,000 apprehensions.

In honor of National Drug Take Back Day, our communities are encouraging people to safely dispose of expired or unused medication. My team joined Kroger pharmacists and Marana Police Department to help spread awareness of proper drug disposal, substance abuse, and other issues.

Joined Border Patrol for a ride along to see and hear what they experience everyday. This area includes a small break in a physical barrier that has seen 41,000 apprehensions in FY24 so far. Last night alone, they saw 200+ encounters in one shift.

Our border is overrun.

Our delegation visited the Mariposa Port of Entry, which facilitates millions of dollars in commerce & tourism. Sadly this is now a major point for illicit activity, seeing drug, human and contraband smuggling everyday.

One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to take my kids up to D.C. My job might not be the regular nine to five but I still love to celebrate #TakeYourKidToWorkDay when I can.
