The results are in from MP Noah Law’s survey, and Cornwall’s opinion is clear. We don’t want Devonwall. We’re a national minority, and we have the right to our own devolution and our own voice. cornish-times.co.uk/news/survey-la…

One of the few places in Wales where house prices are decreasing in Wales is Gwynedd because the council wasn't afraid to take on the exploitative second home industry. Article 4 is working.

Today, Cornwall’s national sport will be played in St Columb Major - as it has on Shrove Tuesday for time out of mind. Hurling is played on the largest pitch of any sport - the entire parish. The calling up of the silver ball is said to represent the strengthening sun of spring.

Twenty-five years ago today, The Party for Cornwall launched the Declaration for a Cornish Assembly campaign. It was backed by over 50,000 people. Two-and-a-half decades on, the campaign for greater self-government continues. Join us in this campaign.

In the House of Commons, the Prime Minister says he recognises Cornish national minority status, and wishes the people of Cornwall a happy St Piran’s Day. Gool Peran Lowen!

Yet again Luke Pollard MP chooses threats and bullying, instead of recognising a national minority’s right to have our own voice and to make our own decisions. Luke, it is possible to speak up for Plymouth without denying a national minority its rights. Be a better neighbour.

In the document explaining their plans they are *still* banging on about a Devon and Cornwall Mayor, even after we’ve expressed our view on that so clearly. Plymouth City Council (and its MPs) have no respect for Cornwall or our opinion.

On this day in 1999, Cornwall was awarded Objective One status. Prior to this, Cornwall had missed out on receiving the highest level of economic assistance as the true state of its economy was masked by being lumped together with Devon. A salutary lesson. cornwallforever.co.uk/history/object…

Expansion of the Cornish language could create a whole new media and education sector in Cornwall, jobs that can’t be outsourced. But if a bill is to get through Parliament, it needs support from the government, not just Cornish MPs. bbc.com/news/articles/…

A first home is a right, a second home is a privilege. Cornwall is home to a national minority. If by exercising your privilege you are denying someone a first home in their homeland, you should not expect sympathy. Nobody is entitled to a second home.

High time Kernow followed suit. Gridlocked roads. Overstretched emergency services. Priced-out locals. Commodified cultural heritage. Tourism isn’t a panacea. Venice’s €5 tourist fee returns – and will double for last-minute day-trippers | Venice theguardian.com/world/2025/apr…

Will anything change at Lys Kernow? Last Sunday Cllr Robert Parsonage, the interim leader of the Reform party in Cornwall, made his first appearance on BBC Politics South West and it was a slightly underwhelming experience. The newly elected councillor had very little to say on

Cornwall Live’s business model: Find one angry voice and use it to write a negative, rage-bait headline. Then keep posting it and watch the comments come in. This polarises society and erodes trust in the media. We need informed debate about housing, not manipulative clickbait.
