Partnering with UNESCO Eastern Africa #03Project, we have trained 50 SRH peer educators in Nyagatare District using #YAhealthGame, adding to 150+ trained in other districts last weeks. Through #YAhealthGame, we are empowering youth with engaging SRH tools for effective community awareness.

Exciting News! This week, partnering with Ministry of Education | Rwanda and UNICEF Rwanda under GIRL Programme, our teams are in five districts: Gakenke, Gisagara, Rusizi, Karongi, and Ngororero, as we pilot test the #YAhealthApp and Game in upper primary schools, focusing on adolescent girls.

Our goal is to gather valuable feedback from both students and teachers to refine the app and game. Understanding their experiences ensures these tools effectively meet the health information needs of adolescent girls. #YAhealthAppMwisuraNshya #YAhealthGameMatters

Today, we have continued our one week testing of #YAhealthApp & Game in five district. We’re are engaging with upper primary students to explore how these IECs tools can empower them with knowledge about child protection, life skills, ASRH, HIV/AIDS and other needed health infos

Young people are passionate about technology, no matter where they live! Through #YAhealthApp & Game testing, our teams are reaching even the hard-to-reach areas like Gihaya Island in Rusizi District. Seeing P4 girls amazed & excited about using these tools is truly inspiring!

1/2 Today, In partnership with UNICEF Rwanda and Rwanda Biomedical Centre , through Human Centered Design, we are currently engaging with teens & young mothers in Nyanza District to listen to their needs and preferences and gather valuable feedback about the info they need regarding immunization

2/2 These feedbacks will help us co-design a new YAhealth hotline packed with essential immunization infos, including the HPV vaccine. Our goal is to provide user centered accurate, accessible info & create demand for vaccines uptake and ensure everyone is fully vaccinated.

Our training of youth peer ambassadors on the YAhealth App ver 2.0 continued today in Musanze District. We navigated through the diverse features of #YAhealthApp with our ambassadors. From mental health screening to menstrual cycle tracking, we’re covering it all.
