In Togo, a country of 8.9 million people, there were only 9 ICU beds. El Elyon Hospital in Lomé is opening a new 5-bed ICU, boosting national ICU capacity by 55.6%. WTI volunteer ICU nurses and specialists are training local staff to run the unit and provide lifesaving care.
