A celebration event has been held for our latest colleagues to successfully complete The RCN Clinical Leadership Programme. The programme helps colleagues to apply theory into practice and understand the positive impact leadership can have on team effectiveness and patient care.

So proud of our UHL teams and their friends that came together for dragon boat racing today in aid of PROSTaid. They are a charity that support local men with prostate cancer. We had 3 UHL teams and have raised over £5,000!! #teamwork Leicester's Hospitals PROSTaid

Prostate Cancer Nurse Specialists took part in a Dragon Boat Race at the Riverside Festival, to raise money for PROSTaid. The charity provides funding for three Nurse Specialists, equipment and prostate cancer research, while also running four support groups in Leicestershire.

A urology and oncology clinic at Leicester General Hospital has streamlined the treatment pathway for patients who are being given a diagnosis of prostate cancer. At the clinic, patients receive advice and support from cancer nurse specialists and prostate-specific consultants.

Well done Aimee and Millie. This has made a huge difference to our patients post op care. 👏
