We’ve been working on an Erasmus+ project exploring Dorothy Heathcote’s Commission Model. Is it different to project based learning? How does it work within the demands of school curriculums currently? We’re sharing our findings at a free study morning …firstcommissionmodel.eventbrite.co.uk

Today we made flowers for Queen Elizabeth. Some children created the Queen’s favourite Lily of the Valley and others like these in Y4 are sharing their own favourites - apple blossom, poppies and pansies. We will “lay” them tomorrow afternoon and invite families to add ribbons.

Please look out for our tribute to the Queen which is displayed at the front entrance. Each class worked on a few pieces each and they have come together magnificently. ❤

It was a bit windy this afternoon (!) but the flowers for the Queen are all out. Thank you to out families for adding ribbons. We hope the flowers survive the night. Please do find Mr Kieran on the playground in the morning for more ribbon.

#MantleoftheExpert On their way to work, one of our team witnessed a car hitting a white deer. What kind of deer was it? Is it linked to the one in our rehabilitation centre? What’s going on in the area and Tulgey Woods - the place no one wants to go into or talk about…

Whilst the Animal Rehabilitation Team wait for their woodland protective shelter designs to be approved by the Bander Trust, they had a look into the area through the fencing and from above with their drone. They caught glimpses of some disturbing things. #MantleoftheExpert

Y4 loved Varjak Paw by SF Said - this is just one of the pictures drawn at home. They just lapped up the characters and there was such a buzz after each chapter. Of course we are now reading the sequel! We want to know more about the author and his other books too…

Everyone is devastated to hear of the tragic and needless death of this friendly and talented young man. Many of the children know Cody as their sports coach and love and admire him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. May he rest in peace. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

As pupils, parents and staff begin to share tributes to Cody, it is clear to see that he truly was loved beyond measure. As one child wrote: we pray that our Lord welcomes you into His loving arms in Heaven. 🕊️ Cody Fisher - our incredible Sports Coach - always in our hearts. 🤍

Thanks @AnnaPhoebe for showing that playing an instrument can be cool. Our children (and adults!) were amazed and loved your performance. 🥰

Y4 Truth Seekers are demonstrating if they can seek the truth about the present day as well as the past. Using the evidence pack, they found true facts about the River Nile, but are concerned about drought and pollution. I wonder if Heba will want our help… #MantleoftheExpert

The Photographer Team (Nursery) have met Mr Lens this week. He has a problem! No one is booking holidays at his travel agents. He would like the team to travel the world taking photographs for a new brochure and sent them to Africa first. #MantleoftheExpert
