How cool is this!! Yellow Water-lily (Nuphar lutea) is one of our native water lily species & a plant that’s usually so out of reach. I was lucky enough to see one by boat recently, its big, floating lily pads soaking up the afternoon sun - all ready to warm some frog bottoms 🐸

16/8/21 Cumbria - A population of Monotropa hypopitys (Yellow Bird's Nest) was found at #HuttonRoof earlier in the year - a significant county record - so I just had to go and look at them. Many of the plants are "over" but there are still many coming through #wildflowerhour
