As some of you may have seen, I've done a new model of shunterproductions's OC, Nigel. Given what that locomotive class was nicknamed, I couldn't resist putting him in this livery.

Okay folks. I need a second opinion. I have a character planned whose backstory involves taking over Edward's branchline for a few months, after 'Old Iron'. Was planning a Kerr Stuart Victory, but can't see it working passenger trains. Thinking of a J50 instead. Your thoughts?

Since I started this poll, it's been brought to my attention there's at least one instance of a Victory class being used for passenger trains in real life. Which changes things a bit. My initial thought was that a Victory would suit the character, and it seems there is precedent

On second thoughts, I may have had another idea. One that'll make for a better story. I will point out that my ideas are in flux, and often aren't concrete until they hit Youtube.

Following the events of 'Old Iron' in 1954, Edward was sent away to be rebuilt. While he was gone, an engine borrowed from the Eastern Region of the Other Railway ran the line. #STMY

A replacement tram had been loaned to Thomas' Branch Line while Toby was away in East Anglia, as an attraction. "No, no," she said. "I won't be going to a dusty quarry. I'll take your passengers along this charming line and you or that little green engine can handle the workmen."

In this photo from 1964, we see NWR #11, Molly, taking a china clay train along the Brendam Branchline. Records indicate that NWR #2, Edward, was undergoing a regular service at the time. #STMY
