StKieransHeritage This is Daniel Greene’s Memorial Plaque aka “The Dead Man’s Penny”. He was killed at #TheSomme in 1916 aged 28. He was born in Grouse Lodge, Kilcolman, #WestLimerick in 1888, the son of James Greene & Catherine Hayes, (of #Knockbweeheen). (Photo courtesy of Andrew Greene).
