Federal science-funding institutions have an immense power to influence which theories to water, which data to collect.

The impartiality of science funding is crucial to the success of our scientific enterprise.

I recall advocating not just against lockdowns on behalf of teenagers like the boys I grew up with...

But also advocating that masks may make it hard for people with a profound hearing loss like myself to read lips.

To this day, colleagues who called me out for my advocacy have

Looking forward to my talk at Princeton University today on how the government's censorship machine distorted covid science and policy, destroying the lives of millions.

Grateful for the invitation from the James Madison Program. Princeton is beautiful in spring!

Here’s the key insight displayed graphically from Alex Washburne et al.

They *predicted* SARS2 would fall into a small box of known synthetic clones composed of between 5-8 fragments, with exceedingly short lengths of longest fragments.

A second and possibly more important

Here I summarized Endonuclease Fingerprint and a new confirmatory piece of evidence: a document showing DEFUSE planned to (1) order the specific enzyme Alex Washburne et al said they would’ve used; and (2) build a six-fragment virus, which SARS2 is.

It's curious that this investigation hasn't yet penetrated the National Academy.

After all, Peter Daszak is the chair of the NASEM forum on microbial threats.

One of Collins' first instincts when seeking to suppress the lab origin theory was to see if the National Academy could

This is the exception to the rule 'the coverup is worse than the crime.' Mind you, Fauci's lab leak coverup is bad: public officials hide their nefarious activities from the public. But the crime: support of dangerous research that may be responsible for the death of millions.

I am an anti-Trump liberal democrat and lifelong, appreciative NPR listener, but Uri Berliner is 100% correct that NPR has taken a very wrong turn.

Rather than follow the evidence re origins, NPR blindly parroted the blind Daszak/Andersen/Fauci/Collins allegations that

Interesting to see newsrooms being duped by the 'Proximal Origin' paper on COVID origins highlighted here as a major failure in media.

Obviously I agree! But the story is deeper than that. Newsrooms are failing to course correct and make amends. But on top of that, some are

This revelation of 15,000 samples and 700+ potential bat CoVs shipped to Wuhan thanks to EcoHealth affects the odds

It means there were more different and unpublished SARS-CoVs in that one lab than every other lab in the world. It's very likely SARS-CoV-2 emerged from such a lab

It was always a very dangerous proposition to enhance the transmissibility of dangerous viruses, especially in labs controlled by an authoritarian adversary.

The fallout we're dealing with here ought to be concentrated on the few who felt it was 'worth the risk'.

Daszak didn't disclose DEFUSE - DRASTIC had to pry it from his unwilling, uncooperative hands.

Daszak also didn't disclose this information about the dangerous diversity of biological agents he sent to China.

What else will we learn against Daszak's wishes for us to look

Prof Gavin Yamey @gavinyamey.bsky.social Atomsk's Sanakan Libertarian_Virologist Martin W Gigi Gronvall Such people are horrible!

That’s why it is extra unfortunate legitimate scientists *correctly* saying lab involvement cannot be ruled out have been silenced and harassed while other scientists misled the public on the strength of the evidence allegedly showing market spillover.

EcoHealth Alliance releases a subset of the relevant emails in an effort to control the damage prior to Peter Daszak testifying before Congress May 1 after his dishonest private testimony directly contradicting his plans to do dangerous work in Wuhan in FOIA'd drafts of DEFUSE.

By April 2020, sirens echoed through the streets of NYC as a SARS-CoV from Wuhan looking like an infectious clone with a furin cleavage site caused a pandemic.

Tony (Fauci) was fully aware of the mess Daszak made by proposing to create a SARS-CoV infectious clone with a furin
