The recently installed Danforth Ave protected bike lane, eastbound to Vic Park is covered with ice making it un-rideable, 48h after the snowfall. This patchwork maintenance simply discourages and suppresses any efforts to promote everyday riding and it’s health benefits. #bikeTO

Excited to be heading home to #biketo/#walkto today. But vacationing in Bogota was awesome. I spent the better half of two weeks biking, busing, walking, and eating. Lots of infrastructure inspiration to be had- both the good and the bad.

Looking for answers in the tragic death on Danforth Avenue early this morning. Thinking of the family, friends, and witnesses as they process the horrific incident and grieve the young man. Rest in Peace.

Absolutely crazy that Avenue Road is 6 lanes wide when the sidewalk with poles and parking meters can barely fit a wheelchair through. Especially if we’re going to be pushing more development and midrises on arterials, we need to make them walkable, pleasant, and safe.
