        Grateful for my 7th Lowell Thomas award from SATW Foundation Society of American Travel Writers. I enjoyed working with Gabe Hiatt & Washington Post Travel on this. I was excited about the story & even though a whale sinking a sailboat isn’t a traditional travel story, Gabe trusted me. Can’t ask for much more than that.

        That Natasha Frost is still employed by the The New York Times is proof of a double standard at the paper. Apparently egregious ethics violations that would be illegal in some countries are OK with the Times when it’s Jews who are in put in peril.
