An 18-year-old girl, a pedestrian, was killed outside my flat today by a speeding driver. If she had been stabbed by someone of colour, it would be all over the news, but instead, the media only reports traffic disruption. #UKCarCulture

Louise Haigh If only road crashes were dealt with in the same way as train crashes. Imagine if someone was killed or seriously injured every 17 minutes on a train. It wouldn’t be allowed to continue. But perfectly acceptable on our roads.

Why isn’t this bit of Camden passage pedestrianised? This is the gateway that draws people down from Angel. Also home to two very popular cafes who I’m sure would love to expand their outdoor seating.

Good to see proposals coming forward at roughly the same time Oxford Street and a much more pedestrian friendly Regent St area. Really need to link these up to other schemes for a car-lite West End. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
