Going through my uncle’s documents and files and found a copy of The Observer from June 11, 1944. It’s interesting to read wartime news as it was printed then.

My grandmother won a place to attend Redmaids' High School GDST in Bristol. Reading her geography and biology notes from 1943-44.

I’m reading 3 volumes of my great grandfather’s WW1 diary, including scraps of typed troop movement orders and hand drawn maps. I’m up to 1917-18, when he was moved from trenches to Palestine.

The grind setting on a Mahlkönig UK represents the spacing between the burrs. Therefore grind setting is linear with the mean coffee grain radius produced by grinding. These grinds were made from two coffees from Square Mile Coffee with Gareth Jones from James Hoffmann’s team.
