Just passing by our rockstar renumathyd lab Stanford Div. of GI & Hepatology. So impressed how organized her lab is. I am proud of the physician scientists in our midst that I have had the privilege of supporting and sponsoring. 👏🙌🫶

While visiting Cleveland Clinic, I had the pleasure of running into Randall Starling, a legend in cardiology. I fondly recall our time in Thailand when our respective mentees were honored. I believe we make a difference way more by whom we mentor than what we do ourselves.

Stanford Div. of GI & Hepatology Update course has come to a close. Outstanding collection of presentations, keynotes and faculty-audience interactions. My deep gratitude to Drs. John Clarke, Deepti Dronamraju and Kian Keyashian for organizing the Stanford CME course. I am so proud!







Paolo Angeli delivered this year’s Heil lecture Mayo Clinic, commemorating Dr. Ruud Krom, the surgeon educator extraordinaire who set up the Liver Transplant Program some 30 years ago. It is so wonderful to be part of the extended family again.


Chronic liver disease is 🇺🇸 9th leading cause of ☠️, claiming >70K lives a year. Early detection is ‼️ crucial to curb this impact - esp important pandemic use of🍸🍻🍷. Hats off to Hazel Martin for the courage to share the story. 🙏💪 bbc.com/news/articles/…
