It is absurd to spend resources to track down, arrest and deport people doing jobs we recruited them for and brought them here to do, after we squeezed them out the system because of how dysfunctional it is. (for the non-tiktokers) instagram.com/reel/C-8IyfRIC…

Enforcement is a pillar of the new government's immigration policy, but who suffers from the fallout of regulatory action? In the case of a recent sponsor licence revocation about 100 workers were left in limbo for months. Many are now in debt & unemployed thebureauinvestigates.com/stories/2024-0…

So long as workers suffer the consequences of reporting their employer for dodgy practices many migrant workers will continue to suffer in silence rather than speak out. We need serious changes and support for workers affected when licences are revoked.

Everyone has the right to family life. But the last Gov stripped migrant care workers of this basic right & now we see the results - an 81% drop in care visas when the sector is already at breaking point. This gov must reverse this cruel policy, now. shorturl.at/cZNrf

Since the Illegal Working Offence was introduced in 2016 there have been just 2 convictions. It does little but deter people from reporting exploitation. Migrant workers need routes to secure their immigration status to protect them from exploitation. theguardian.com/uk-news/articl…
