Our scything team was out on force this morning at Bogs Meadow. First half cut and we'll be back later in the month to finish off the rest. Cutting and removing the waste helps maintain the low fertility level the flowers need. The City of Edinburgh Council

A nice volunteer session in the sun on the Quilts side of the river down at #Leith The team gave the paths a good cut back to make them easier to use, raked off the first of the falling leaves and exposed more of the setts along the edges. The City of Edinburgh Council Paths for All
Thanks to Go Forth and Clyde who hosted Johnny for the last two days on his Inland Waterways Helmsman's Course. He assured us he gained lots of transferable knowledge & will stop 😁 soon after lots of fun driving a canal barge, waving to tow path users and drinking cups of tea.
We all need a little help especially when it comes to looking after a river. Thus kudos to Scottish Futures Trust who brought 42 employees to improve the Balgreen stretch. They got involved with a big clean up, meadow raking , walkway maintenance graffiti removal and memory creation.
