Today we signed a Memorandum with USAID deputy administrator Isobel Coleman to build the 3d interconnection powerline with Romania at Strășeni-Gutinaș. I am grateful to the American people for helping Moldova secure its energy system and integrate into the European market.

At the 26th World Energy Congress in #Rotterdam we had the opportunity to explore strategies to address the challenges of energy security, affordability and sustainability and to network with counterparts and important stakeholders.

Tripling renewable energy capacities by 2030 is a commitment signed by 118 countries at COP28 and Moldova is firm on this path. At IRENA meeting in Abu Dhabi we had a valuable experience sharing in overcoming the recent energy crisis and future collaboration in energy sector.

Today we launched with president Maia Sandu
the construction of Vulcănești-Chișinău 400 kV overhead power line. A historic moment for Moldova, to ensure our energy interconections with #Romania and #EU and strengthen energy security.

I welcomed Bulgarian businesses today at a bilateral forum. It is encouraging to see interest and investments in Moldova and strengthen our trade relations on our way to EU.

Glad that we have resumed the meetings of the Moldovan-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission after 8 years and had constructive discussions today. We are interested in intensifying bilateral relations in all areas!

The Government appointed electricity market operator, a Romanian OPCOM subsidiary. The markets will send correct price signals and allow for differentiated tariffs.

Joint efforts with Romania will consolidate and integrate the electricity markets of our two countries.
