At the World Energy Congress 2026 in #Rotterdam we had the opportunity to explore strategies to address the challenges of energy security, affordability and sustainability and to network with counterparts and important stakeholders.


Today we signed a Memorandum with USAID deputy administrator Isobel Coleman to build the 3d interconnection powerline with Romania at Strășeni-Gutinaș. I am grateful to the American people for helping Moldova secure its energy system and integrate into the European market.

I met Roland Berger team at the World Energy Congress in Rotterdam, in April. And today, I am happy to welcome them in Chisinau, with the intention to extend company's presence in Moldova.


At The Economist annual forum in Athens, I highlighted the importance of our accession to Vertical Corridor, which allowed the transportation of natural gas from Greece to storage in Ukraine. MDA was first to commercially test the route, providing energy security to the region.


The law on energy #sandboxes was approved by MD Gov, drafted with UNDP Moldova support. We are inviting companies to test innovative energy solutions with derogations from certain provisions of existing legislation. More details, here t.ly/znhBX




Presented today the conditions for the first auctions for building 165 MW of PV and wind parks to potential investors at the “Energy Transition” conference, in partnership with the #EuropeanUnion and the Energy Community. Looking forward to lounch the auctions soon!




Proud to be hosting the 8th edition of the Energy Community summer school in Moldova this year. Together with Dirk Buschle, I met the 46 young people from 26 countries and discussed on the Energy and Politics: Moldova's Experience.


Proudly advancing with the Vulcănești-Chișinău powerline, first towers built in the south with World Bank support. It will allow us to depend less on critical infrastructure on the left bank of the Dniester and integrate into European energy market.
