We asked over 3,000 school leaders about Ofsted’s plans for inspectors to make graded sub-judgements. 92% told us they are opposed. Ofsted needs to go back to the drawing board, urgently reconsider these ill-thought-through plans, and listen to the profession.

The Hungry Caterpillars loved dressing up as amazing book characters and celebrating World Book Day in Nursery and with the rest of our school in the hall. The children listened to a magical book, ‘ The Night Dragon’ by Naomi Howarth and then painted their own dragons. 🐉😁

The Hungry Caterpillars have closely observed our five caterpillars becoming five chrysalises. The children love learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly!🐛🦋😀❤️

The Hungry Caterpillars have been thinking about their mummies this week because it is Mother’s Day on Sunday. The children have been talking about why they love their mums so much and creating wonderful cards, drawings and paintings.❤️😁

In English, we took on the role of a character from How to Train Your Dragon and re-enacted parts of chapter 2. We had great fun working out who played each character!

How and why did the Egyptians make mummies? Our mummy-wrapping competition was a little messy, but a lot of fun!

In history, we looked at the social hierarchy of Ancient Egypt by playing a game of Heads Up! Then we worked together to sort the roles onto a hierarchy pyramid.

The Hungry Caterpillars have loved exploring their new building site role play area. The children have been designing Elsa’s castle, hotels, massive houses and lots more imaginative ideas. They have worked collaboratively and it has been a very busy area in Nursery!
