Here to be here as part of a delegation for Cordaid Cordaid Iraq representing TheLotusFlower to discuss the situation in Iraq, especially for women led organisations. Lovely to meet with Derk Boswijk in The Dutch Parliament. We had a fruitful discussion and shared our experiences.

We had a great meeting in Duhok with UK in Erbil and the new UK Consul General James Goldman.

We discussed our work, the key challenges faced by women-led NGOs and how the UK can best support us…

I attended Women's Support Network meeting that was an empowering event. Alongside inspiring women driving change in our region we addressed critical issues such as climate change, GBV and sustainable energies. Grateful for the shared insights on the remarkable achievements.

In Duhok, Kurdistan Region, thousands gathered in protest to condemn the missile attack on Erbil, launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps on 15 January.

“We reject the allegation that [the place] was an Israeli Mossad base. We visited the place and toured around every corner. Everything indicated it was a family residence belonging to an Iraqi businessman from Erbil,” Al-Araji told Kurdistan24.
