Had some fun last evening teaching some junior cadets. Even managed to fit in a Kahoot! with they hugely enjoyed. Learning should be fun and engaging but I was definitely relieved when I won 😅 P & C Wing

After 8 long weeks of training and mentorship, I got my epaulettes today and am now taking 999 Emergency calls on my own. A very long and slightly terrifying but hugely enjoyable experience... let's see what the future brings!! 😁😁 🚑

I recently delivered a St John Ambulance England Youth First Aid course to a group of my young RAF Air Cadets. Hopefully they'll never need their new skills but they know what to do just incase. Huge thanks to PatchThemUpTraining for allowing us to borrow some of their fantastic equipment!!

Recently came across a memorial plaque at a local South Western Ambulance Service amulance hub dedicated to St John Ambulance England Plymputh volunteers who lost their lives during the Great War. Amazing that these little snippets with our past pop up when we least expect it.

A very hot and busy day today working alongside Plymouth City Council for Plymouth Pirates weekend. Lots of patients seen, and some great experiences for cadets and new volunteers developing knowledge around minor wound care 🩹🩸

Day 4 of #VolunteersWeek2023 sees us looking at out District Trianing Lead Ben Nixon. As well as managing our team and having several event roles, Ben also volunteers his time with the RAF Air Cadets supporting young people to develop and achieve pushing their own limits

As we come to an end of #VolunteersWeek2023 a great time to spend a bit of time reflecting on almost a decade of volunteering with St John Ambulance England and RAF Air Cadets So many experiences and memories, looking forward to the next decade!
