I don't find this credible. The tweet itself is fishy: Treasury doesn't charge money laundering (DOJ does) & a case against several FIs at once would be unusual. Also, criminal investigations are kept strictly confidential & rarely leak. I'm not convinced by unnamed "sources."

the real story today: reverse repo usage just surpassed Covid crash highs. We are effectively out of repo market collateral, Fed is cornered, and there is no place to park $1TN more in reserves. Fed can't do 18 more months of QE

In case you missed it: #Fed has ramped up balance sheet expansion. Total assets have jumped by $92.2bn in the past week, most since March, to hit fresh ATH of $7,922.8bn as Powell keeps printing press rumbling. Fed balance sheet now equal to 36% of US's GDP vs #ECB's 76.6%.

I urge my colleagues to support the Wyden-Lummis-Toomey amendment to the infrastructure bill. It ensures that Congress, the IRS, & Treasury are not putting their thumb on the scale of any particular tech. The market—and Congress—should encourage competition, not stifle it.

The White House-supported Warner amendment still doesn’t protect software developers. It makes it possible for regulators to choose winners & losers instead of letting the marketplace make that decision. The Wyden-Lummis-Toomey amendment is tech-neutral and promotes innovation.

Infrastructure Bill Update: The public pressure is working as more Senators express concerns to us privately about the bill text, Treasury is pulling out all the stops to kill the Wyden amendment, general politics of the bill could force Sen. Schumer to say no amendments at all.

Just for those who seem to have forgotten: they locked you down until the ‘life saving vaccine’ was ready. It was supposed to STOP covid. STOP masks, and STOP deaths. At what point do you admit you were lied to? For those that will claim ‘they never said that’, here you go:
