In yesterday's Financial Services GOP hearing, I pressed Democrats on their unwillingness to hold Gary Gensler's SEC accountable. It is extremely troubling to me that the SEC seems more intent on pursuing highly politicized regulatory undertakings than focusing on its core mission.
John E Deaton Jeanee80 XRP I agree. It’s one thing to exercise statutory authority. It’s another to manipulate statutory ambiguity and then hide behind deliberative process privilege to exert control and harm the very people an agency should protect.
Why are Democrats protecting Gary Gensler and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission? American investors deserve answers from the people tasked with overseeing our capital markets. Congress should fulfill its constitutional role to conduct oversight. Read my letter with Patrick McHenry below.
