Having cared for a patient in the hospital who was told she had hemorrhoids (without rectal exam) only to diagnose the patient with incurable colorectal cancer, I couldn’t agree more. Similarly, in #derm, skin exam is not complete without oral and genital inspection. #MedTwitter
