Let's be under no illusions, Feargal has been a brilliant campaigner along with many other well known names. Jim Murray, Paul Whitehouse, Steve Backshall and many more. 👏👏👏

My once productive areas for the last 30 years, grayling, barbel, trout, and chub have nothing in them or next to nothing. To date, I have yet to film any grayling at this site. Thanks, Feargal.

What was once a clean productive area for filming beautiful grayling is now a mucky, horrible area that produces very little. The new film short shows what we had, have lost. The saddest part is that I have witnessed this with my own eyes through underwater filming. #pollution

Once clean river bed now looks like this, even more surprising is the depth is only 3ft yet i'm now having to use underwater lights to even film. Once prime barbel ground now gone. Someone did mention this is filamentous algae? any experts out there that can clarify.

It is quite possible that this was naturally occurring foam. Lots of this in the river today and surfaced in a pile of it, hopefully it was just natural but did not take any chances so usual clean down once out. #rivers

While Since we were diving in windermere, another trip will be on the cards before the end of the year. Last time we filmed there it was grim underwater.

With only a few days to go for underwater filming for the ultimate rod race, the neck seal splits on the spare suit grrr. After spending the afternoon in the dive workshop, I just have the tape to add on and good to go.

Shame I'm away filming when the march takes place. I have witnessed the demise of many rivers to the point now where I film more pollution related footage than fish. Sign up to the march. #pollution #sewage #environment #rivers

Had a great weekend filming for Matt & Micks Ulitmate Rod Race. The twin set up of D710V OrcaTorch did itself proud in the depths of the loch. Really came into its own. To find out more about these amazing video lights, visit bit.ly/ukorcatorchd71… #ultimateRodRace
