It was very good to have opportunity to discuss Labour’s policing and criminal justice policy with ⁦Angela Rayner 🌹⁩ and ⁦Keir Starmer⁩ this afternoon. We discussed how as a Labour PCC I will work in partnership with their government to bring benefits to Bedfordshire.

On Thursday across Bedfordshire electors have a clear choice - vote Labour for a serious candidate with comprehensive missions to make the county safer or for more Tory underperformance.

In 2018 a severe concussion kept me out of work for months, leaving me depressed and anxious whether I’d fully recover.

Luckily I was able to access support, but thousands currently can’t.

If the Govt is serious about supporting people into work, that’s what they’d focus on 👇

People are waiting too long to see a GP locally.

By pulling people together I’ve been able to make progress on GP investment, but the national system is letting us down.

Looking forward to meeting with Ministers to explain why the measures she mentions just aren’t working.
