Last week, we hosted collaborators from University of Oxford to discuss the implementation of the VAC086 malaria vaccine trial to be launched in The Gambia. The trial will assess the safety & immunogenicity of a new vaccine targeting the hepatic & blood stages of the malaria parasite.

🔊 In southern #Gaza, where a team of our staff are providing medical care, our emergency coordinator Nicholas Papachrysostomou yesterday described the dire conditions and overwhelming needs for people.

#Gaza: This morning, a shell broke through the wall of an MSF shelter housing over 100 staff and their families in Khan Yunis.

Four people were injured, including the 5-year-old daughter of an MSF staff who is in critical condition. The staff and their families have moved to another location.

We are trying to understand what happened. MSF had informed Israeli Forces that this was an MSF shelter. MSF did not receive evacuation orders. We condemn this latest attack which shows yet again that no one and nowhere is safe in Gaza. #ceasefirenow
