A delivery man once asked me to go back into my house & bring water for him. When I asked him why he didn't say he was thirsty when he called me to come outside, he mumbled am I too big for him to send me to bring water. Misogyny is funny because it also robs men of common sense

This is confirmation that the open mic night is definitely going to happen! I need my girlies and men to come and rant and vent about the misogyny that they have experienced first hand or second hand! This will be after watching the Moral High Court! It will be free to attend

Uzoamaka Aniunoh, channeling "Ndị Nne Mama" the mothers of Eastern Nigeria, has to be my favourite look from this year's Amvca cultural day. Simple. Elegant. Significant. Timeless. A queen.

As women share their stories of Misogyny and we all express shock and disbelief, Gentle reminder that Misogyny is also that weird thing men do on social media where they see a successful woman & start looking for ways to make her feel less or bring her down a peg.

A girl buys a nice car and is automatically an ashawo. A pretty babe has muscles like man. Or is too "Black" and ugly in your eye. A sexy, successful young female musician has phantom BO, and so on and so forth. Devilish behaviour really.

It is only in Nollywood that you appreciate someone's work from a place of "oh this is brilliant" and they automatically assume that it is an indicator of their superiority and begin to act "accordingly". It is idiotic behaviour, especially when you're a young filmmaker.

I'm not your fan. I am a peer, who appreciates good art. And because I know to separate Art from the artist, sometimes your personality is unremarkable to me. I'm not interested in you. I'm interested in your work. Save your condescension for those to whom your personality matter

Very pleased for you, Olisa. You are such an incredibly talented creative. May the world see even more of your work 🧡

Nigerian schools need to discontinue subjects like shorthand and replace with Etiquette. The average Nigerian lacks social graces. They speak so poorly of other people’s culture, food and language. This is the mark of barbaric people

Romance should only ever happen as a result of mutual desire You know how it feels to like someone, and how it feels when someone likes you If either side is missing, it’s a non starter You can’t convince or be convinced. It’s either there or it isn’t Stop lying to yourselves

My Mum and little gestures that show big love are 5&6. I asked for a small suitcase and she bought me two different sizes just because they looked good together and it was a cute colour and "was giving baby girl" and if that is not love, I don't know what is.
