Because box jellyfish diverged from our part of the animal kingdom long ago, understanding their cognitive abilities could help scientists trace the evolution of learning. nyti.ms/3PQi7c3

This is a good one for #Neurology too, with respect to stroke etiology. Who knows the syndrome where this finding may or may not be associated with antiphospholipid antibodies?

A word of warning to students taking the USMLE: Sometimes, strange things happen on test day. Maybe the center is noisy, or the power goes out, or the computer is acting weird. Whatever it is, YOU MUST REPORT IT TO THE TEST CENTER THAT DAY *and* TO THE NBME WITHIN 10 DAYS. 🧵

Remember that record-setting malpractice verdict involving delayed diagnosis of posterior circulation stroke? This was the CTA. You can see how it was a challenge that mimics bilateral fetal PCAs. Losing the left SCA is a clue that something's amiss at the basilar tip.
