We were honored to welcome the Vice President Vice President Jessica Alupo, Chinese Ambassador Amb. Zhang Lizhong, and the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Hon Dr Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi. at our children’s home. Their visit highlights shared commitment to the wellbeing of the children of Uganda.

During the Vice President's visit to the Children's home, the Director Gender Community Services and Production at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Sheila Birungi Gandi requested the government to extend financial support to organizations like UWESO - UG, which prioritize rehabilitation of vulnerable children.

There is a need for collective responsibility in taking care of vulnerable children so that every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe environment.

Uganda is growing and the government has created more cities, so if we do not take responsibility now then we shall be having it in terms of emergency.” VP Vice President Jessica Alupo.
