Yesterday, UWEC concluded a 5-day training involving about 100 participants on best practices in animal welfare, captive management, & customer care, organized by UWEC in partnership with Bio/Zoo information worldwide & wildlife service & ZKAU.

A Puff adder, known as magondogondo- a highly venomous viper species was found at a construction site in Lubowa this afternoon. UWEC rescuers believe it needed shelter. During rainy seasons,snakes seek shelter at housing areas near their habitat to keep dry.
