Dr. Liliana Rivera Sandoval has been awarded the Cottrell Scholar Award by Research Corporation for Science Advancement —becoming the first @UTRGV faculty member to receive this honor. @UTRGV is now only the second university in Texas to earn this distinction in astronomy.
