It’s rare to see buildings without damage or total destruction anymore. Any building fully intact stands out. Hundreds of thousands of homes & lives destroyed. Stories of children, mothers, fathers, even entire families still buried underneath rubble. Cities are now graveyards.

"Today has been another day of horror in the #GazaStrip." Louise Wateridge tells BBC News (UK) that #Gaza is a 'living hell' where children are killed every day. With relentless bombings and nowhere safe to go, families don't know what to do and are constantly in fear for their lives.

In #Gaza, it took three days of asking for access to reach a family trapped under their bombed home in Hamad City, Khan Younis. The only thing emergency crews can do now is recover their remains. Another tragedy which could have been averted. #AccessDenied

With UNICEF, World Health Organization (WHO), and partners, we are working to start a large-scale vaccination campaign against polio as soon as possible in #Gaza. For this to happen, we need a humanitarian pause. We cannot vaccinate children under a sky full of bombs and strikes. We need humanity.
