A definite cool down on the way in around a weeks time, but significant cold and wintry weather not really showing at the moment in the extended outlook.

If you come across a sheep lying on its back with its legs up, it is 'cast'. Please be so kind as to tip/roll it back over; if left like this they can die as they cannot get up. Please be kind enough to share.

#HurricaneDebby landfall imminent on Florida’s big bend. Surge and rain the main threat but winds of 80mph sustained will cause some damage. Up to 20 inches of rain to fall for some locations, major flood risk!

10mm of rain has fallen quite widely in the last couple of hours and the heavy stuff is yet to arrive. Absolutely filthy day in Dorset ☔️🌧️

Saturday 21st September: Multiple of periods where active thunderstorms are expected to affect majority of England, some becoming severe. Frequent lightning could be expected & some places could see several rounds. A MDT could, will most likely, be issued tomorrow morning. ⚠️

#Helene has almost perfect conditions to grow into a major hurricane. I personally think this will reach a strong Category 4, wouldn’t rule out higher. Landfall as a high end Category 3 hurricane very likely. Massive storm, so storm surge a real concern.

#HELENE now a Category 4 Major hurricane with sustained winds of 130mph, and it is still intensifying rapidly. An absolute beast and I am in awe of what I’m watching. Central pressure now at 947mb 😳
