A true team is far more than just a collection of talent. It’s a feeling. It’s a bond. It’s a uniting force of many people in many roles all working towards the same goal as one cohesive unit, having each other’s back. Without that bond, you don’t have a team; you have a roster.

If it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it’s not a racehorse. If you want to play at the next level, most of the things you do will reflect that commitment. If you’re just showing up when everyone else does & going along with the crowd. You’re just another duck.

Winning players make winning plays. But winning plays aren’t the plays most think of. They are the plays you DON’T see in the box score, like backing up. Backing up is not a skill; it’s an attitude that shows the will to do what you’re supposed to do.

We’ve got a policy here in our program. We only train 2x per week with our schedule. If you’re a JV player, you train as normal… no matter what. Stoplight System doesn’t apply to them. Don’t like it? Get to Varsity…
