STUDENT ACCESS TO BENEFITS: We’re told that the first step in the American dream is getting your education. However, being a student limits the assistance you can receive. Congress must expand student eligibility for public benefits like #SNAP and the #EITC.

DECRIMINALIZE POVERTY: Stop putting Black and Brown mothers in jail for not living in the right zip code and sending their kids to “out of district” schools.

Laws that make it illegal or difficult for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness to keep themselves safe are cruel and unnecessary. Public space is meant for everybody, including our unsheltered neighbors. #DecriminalizeHomelessness
