Our next organ recital is on Thursday (18 April) and we look forward to welcoming Peter King as our recitalist. Peter is Organist Emeritus at Bath Abbey having held the role of director of music until 2016.

At the Good Friday Liturgy, the choir will sing music by Victoria, Byrd, Sanders and Bairstow.

Good Friday Evensong includes Byrd's simple and solemn canticles in fauxbourdons, and the anthem is Lotti's famous 'Crucifixus' in 8 parts.

Truro Cathedral Choir at the Palm Sunday Procession yesterday singing Weelkes' declamatory setting of 'Hosanna to the Son of David', encapsulating Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, heralding the start of the Holy Week journey.

As part of the Palm Sunday procession, the choir will sing Weelkes' declamatory setting of 'Hosanna to the Son of David'. At Evensong, the choir will sing the first part of William Byrd's anthem 'Ne irascaris, Domine'.

Last Sunday (17 March), Logan, Tom, Luca and Sebastian were made up as full choristers during Sunday Eucharist. They were given their white surplices and signed the chorister register book; which all members of the choir have signed.
