This comes out of Mel Hilario's incredible interview with Jeanette Lazam, who moved into the I-Hotel as an activist prior to the eviction and now lives in the rebuilt I-Hotel. Lazam told Mel about the joys of Manilatown and the community that was lost in the name of Redevelopment

But something that Lazam hit home again and again is that the destruction of the I-Hotel wasn't just an ending, but part of a larger battle that we need to keep fighting
