Southern Miss has named Nick Gibson as it’s new cross country coach. Gibson joins the staff after serving as an assistant at Northwest Missouri State since 2018. He was named the 2020 USTFCCCA Central Region Indoor Track and Field Assistant Coach of the Year.

I like this coach.

For journalism students: I know a lot of successful folks who went to powerhouse schools, such as Arizona State, Northwestern, Syracuse, Columbia and others. I also know a bunch of folks in this business who went to smaller schools without those profiles. You can grow everywhere.

It’s been a bit but I went away for a little while to figure out what I’m doing with life.

Tomorrow is the greatest day of the year! NHL and Vegas Golden Knights season begins! If you need me I’ll be watching hard hits and fights and my team make the playoffs…. Again and hopefully bring home a title!
