Standing in solidarity with all who resist oppression. We unequivocally oppose the mass arrest and intimidation of protestors, especially workers, exercising their right to protest and speak out against injustice. Protesting is not just a liberty — it's a fundamental right.

NYC rents are skyrocketing at a rate 7x faster than wages — squeezing out low- and middle-income residents. This is exactly why we are demanding a living wage for our lowest-paid workers. TA leadership needs to step up for their workers now.

My colleagues Transportation Alternatives work so hard to make New York City a better place but too many of them do that work while struggling to make ends meet in the city they fight so hard for. We’re asking TA management to come to the table with a livable wage for all TA workers.

$60k/year was the salary that entry level workers in NYC deserved in 2019. That was what was needed to live in a studio apartment and be minimally rent burdened. Rent today is 36% higher than it was pre-COVID.

Last week, we sent a letter to TA’s Board of Directors asking for a seat on the selection committee for our next executive director. Union members represent the vast majority of TA’s staff — we need a seat at the table. We look forward to hearing the Board’s decision.
