9 of our cheerleaders were able to participate in the UTSA Cheer clinic and Spirit Day 🧡💙 They cheered, danced, and tumbled on the Alamodome field. They represented the Toreadors well today and we are so proud of them!!

Making History, Marking History PBL students heard from Mr. Morgan, Fire Marshall during the Flood of 1998, & then explored Starcke Park to view flood & historical markers. Students will use these & other perspectives to create their own historical marker about the Flood of 1998.

Barnes MS Making History, Marking History PBL classes got the opportunity to hear from former Seguin Mayor Stautzenberger about his experience during the Flood of 1998. We appreciate him sharing his story!

We LOVED our Silk Road activity where students pretend they are traders & engage in trade of various products while also considering the impact of cultural diffusion!! At the end they calculate the value of their products & are surprised by the value of what they ended up with.

My 2nd period 8th graders were hard at work today sorting and matching different events of the Civil War & Reconstruction Era. I am so proud of the work they've put in this year in preparation for their STAAR test next Wednesday. 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Yesterday we were able to showcase our students' projects for our PBL class, Marking History, Making History. Students listened to different perspectives of the Flood of 1998 and then told the story of the people who were directly affected by those events.
