Our Towson University PE Majors club just hosted our first meeting of the semester yesterday! Our student officers did a great jo of sharing lots of field-related volunteer opportunities for our undergraduate students to get involved in! #physed

Our first homeschool #physed class yesterday in KNES 294 (Elementary Content Knowledge and Performance) was a success! The smiles on the faces of the 8 students and our P.E. Majors were priceless. There was quality instruction and enjoyment! Excited to do it again next week!

Today in Assessment class at Towson University Physical Education my group used plickers during an adventure lesson to do a quick self assessment. It is a great tool and awesome way to incorporate technology. Thanks Tim Stedman, CAA for exposing me to plickers and thank you @Mr_C_PE for the plickers.

Our program was fortunate enough to have 2 of our own faculty members, @TaraBlackshear and @Mr_C_PE, present sessions while here at the @SHAPEMaryland Conference. Lots of sharing, collaborating, learning and growing occurred over the course of these 3 sessions! #physed

Students in @Mr_C_PE’s KNES 294 class learned about the power of the “jigsaw” cooperative learning strategy during their rhythms/dance/cardio drumming celebration! Students learned about “chunking” and used this process to combine their individual patterns into a group routine!

Having students say cues/vocabulary words out loud while performing actions is a good way to help them develop syntax and discourse. Methods students take notes 😁
