Had a great Title III night with Silver Track EB families at Lamar CISD’s Steenbergen MS! Santa and Mrs. Claus showed up and had a great time!

ZIPLINE Challenge with ping-ping ball. Students needed to design cart and determine the set-up of ZIPLINE. The cart has 4 seconds to get to the end without losing ball. Discussed gravitational kinetic energy, friction, and factors that determine speed. Toni Scott

We started a “new to middle school” unit today learning about different types of waves. Created models in the classroom and then practiced a balloon “Hot Potato” vocabulary review!@Tonilscott_ed

Computer coding forces students to slow down and think incrementally. Teams had to answer the question and then code the robot. This could even be used for math, reading, or rainy day activities. Their next step will be to create and code robots.Toni Scott
