‘Hero Rat’ on telly! In 2018, Thornbury Rotary adopted ‘Magawa’, an African Pouched Rat. Recently been awarded a PDSA gold medal for life-saving devotion to duty in Cambodia. Magawa had sniffed out 39 landmines & 28 unexploded munitions. So proud!! More: ThornburyRotary.org

Congrats to Schools/Trusts for the great work on home education. Thornbury Rotary donation to Castle School Education Trust enabled the purchase of 5 Chromebooks for distribution to students of The Castle School or Marlwood School. Club also handed over 4 personal computers to CSET.

Thornbury Rotary has just paid for a defib, with funds from Rotary's Duck Races & from it's Trust Fund. Located by the shops in Oakleaze Road. Jenny Benson from Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (pictured with Rotarians) gave a "huge thanks" to the club for making it happen.
