Insecticide treated nets remain the mainstay of malaria control in Africa and >200 million distributed each year. Really interesting paper by Hannah Koenker and colleages showing how best to maintain - the all important - high net usage. Let's hope they remain effective........

Experimental hut trials are good indicators of whether indoor interventions can prevent malaria. To do this, we need to understand their measurement error, as mosquitoes are tricksy. Great paper by Joseph Challenger MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis and ESSENTIALS LSTM Vector Biology folk.

Super excited by this Wellcome grant. Discussing with Charles Wondji today at CRID-Cam how complex the climate-mosquito-disease interactions are. Blows my mind. So so important, but so so hard. Hopefully this tool can help build the evidence-base!
