For an ASA Sociology section chair to deny members info about events/ viewpoints and use his position for his own views is deeply unethical & problematic. I guess it makes sense for someone who is supporting a state that metes such violence on people to be themselves authoritarian.

Not only did the chair of the Peace, War, & Social Conflict section not send the @soc4pal resolution & teach in announcement but he wrote an email of genocide denial instead. When members sent rebuttals he suggesting they speak 1 on 1 declining to send to the section 1/

While nearly 500 managers and senior academics earn upwards of 100k, PhDs are forced to live below minimum wage.
