One of the really funny features of American politics lately is that only liberals care about growth. Left is captured by degrowth, right believes a mix of “they’re lying about growth” and “we’d rather be fortress America than have growth thru globalization” (aka, also degrowth)

There's a lot of terrain between 'most people don't form political opinions through deep examination of the issues or reasoning from first principles' and 'everyone else is an NPC'. 'Picking a fashion label' might be too cynical, but we all know he's basically right.

Closer to home, imagine if someone were uncritically retweeting The Epoch Times as a primary source for news on Israel-Palestine.
