Were you wondering which section got Section of the Week last week? At the USD vs. North Dakota football game this past Saturday, the section that had this title bestowed to them was our clarinet section led by Anna Klocke and Kylie Weier. Awesome job!

It's Throwback Thursday! Did you know that in October 1901, the band department had grown so large, they had to create a First and Second Band? The Second band was for beginners or "Band Preps" and if they qualified, they could move up to the First band. Pretty interesting🧐

Tomorrow is our Quad State Competition!! We are excited to welcome high school marching bands from South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota to the Dakota Dome. Tickets will be for sale at the door of the Dakota Dome on the day of the event 🎟🎶

Happy Tuesday!! We may not have games until the USD vs. SDSU football game on the 13th, but we still have Sections of the Week in the meantime. The section that had the title passed onto them after the band’s voting on Halloween was our Drumline yet again! Congrats!! 🥁

Have you been wondering which section got Section of the Week passed onto them? Well wait no longer! The section that won this title and will be the carriers of the infamous shield are the trombones!! Congrats on being awarded this title a second time this season 🎼😆

Happy Tuesday Coyotes! You know what time it is? It’s time to show which section got Section of the Week! At the USD vs. SDSU football game, the sousaphone section received the shield for the second time this season. Well done sousies!!

This week is the last week of Section of the Week and after tallying up the winners from each week this season, we have a three way tie with the drumline, trombones, and sousies for Section of the Year! The band will be voting on which section wins this title.
