Thank you everyone who came along last night. It was a wonderful night and a perfect first outing for The Conversation! Special thanks to Doire Press and Teachers Club for not kicking us out for drinking in their fancy bar all night.
A bit late to see this, but Alex Cregan has written a wonderful reflection on our The Pig's Back event in Derry in February (with Lucy Holme - Roberts and Ella Gaynor) for writing.ie.

Had a really great time chatting to Nicole Flattery for the The Stinging Fly podcast. I'm probably not going to listen back but you should. Let me know if it's safe to send to my mother.
I hope I didn't say anything too inflammatory in this.
Thank you The Stinging Fly and Nicole Flattery for having us both on, and to Eoin Rogers as well.
Our editors Dean and Emily spoke to Nicole Flattery for the The Stinging Fly podcast, talking about the short fiction, poetry, essays and how to strike a balance between writing their own work and editing a journal. 🐷 Also worm daddys. 🪱
Loved Kathryn Scanlan’s Kick the Latch & was completely absorbed in Sonia’s life. Such a deserving winner of the Gordon Burn Prize! So proud to share an issue of The Pig's Back with her writing, check out her story Early American on their website now 🌟

A treat in the post today! The German translation of Glass (originally Makina Books) by Ink Press in Zürich - translated by Astrid Köhler.
I of course can't read a lick of German but it looks beautiful and I had a wonderful time chatting with Astrid while she translated.
